Chalet Transalpin can be rented independently or together with Chalet Grands Chemins for groups of up to 17-20.

Exterior

Chalet Transalpin boasts a fabulous location less than 100m from the main ski lift in Argentière in the well known Chamonix Valley. A real bonus is being able to ski in and out directly from the chalet so you don´t have to worry about carrying your skis anywhere. The main ski schools for adults and kids are also conveniently reachable by a ski slope which runs behind the chalet itself.

Should you want to go elsewhere the chalet staff offer a minibus drop off and pick up service at the ski resort of your choice in the Chamonix Valley.

The chalet is also ideal for non-skiers. Those who want to make the most of the beautiful setting will be sure to enjoy the nearby forest which has numerous walking trails. A 5-10 minute walk will take you into town where you will find everything you could wish for- a wide variety of bars and restaurants, specialty shops and a supermarket.

It should also be noted that the location is private but with lovely open spaces so children are able to play safely outside in the snow, building snowmen and sledding on the gentle slopes (equipment provided).

The chalet has the added luxury of an indoor heated swimming pool and a Swedish sauna located in the downstairs basement and shared with the next door chalet. A fabulous jacuzzi tub has also been installed on the outdoor terrace.

This magnificent chalet is ideal for a family or group holiday, any time of year. Whether you want to enjoy snow sports or summer hiking or biking, Chalet Transalpin is an ideal holiday base.

The interiors are very attractive, recently fitted with all the latest in modern amenities to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible, including Wi-Fi internet and under floor heating throughout.

A large and spacious lounge dominates the ground floor. It is contemporary in design with large leather sofas and a flat screen satelite television equipped with surround-sound and a DVD player and film collection. Picture yourselves snuggled up with a good film in the warmth of the cosy wood-burning stove on evenings after a long day on the slopes...This room has large sliding doors which will take you straight onto your private terrace. 2 of the 5 bedrooms can be found on this floor, each en suites, as are all the bedrooms.

The first floor has the second reception room, an open-plan living-dining room-bar. This pleasant sloping-roofed room also has another wood-burning stove adding to the welcoming atmosphere.

The chalet is completed with the further 3 bedrooms and bathrooms, all of which can be organized either with king-size or twin beds, a fully-equipped American-style kitchen and a balcony with fantastic views.

Your private chef will give you a real gourmet experience with classic but creative meals. A full continental breakfast is provided (and a cooked breakfast can be prepared for those who would like one); after a long day on the slopes you can treat yourself to the daily baked goods for afternoon tea while you relax. Then you have a delicious 4-course dinner to look forward to. Any dietary requirements are willingly catered for and a children´s menu and separate dining time for children is also available. 2 out of 7 nights guests are left to enjoy the restaurants in Chamonix.

What makes this chalet extra special is the friendly, personal and efficient service. Staff are very keen to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and thus are always at your disposition for any request you might have. A reliable baby-sitting service is offered as is a private minibus transfer to and from Geneva airport.
